Christmas Chipmunks from Menuet de Bonheur

Another festive colouring - I love these adorable chipmunks. I used Tombow dual pens and Polychromos pencils, plus a touch of white gel pen to tidy up the snowflakes.

This is my favourite image in this book, so I really enjoyed colouring this. I used watersoluble markers and finishing touches in coloured pencils.

Hares by Robert Roskam

I bought this charming image from Robert Roskam's Etsy store in digital downloadabl format. He creates some truly delightful botanical and wildlife illustrations.  I used layers of Polychromos pencils for a simple, soft and summery look.

Art Movement Series Renaissance colouring book

I am enjoying colouring some of the images from this book. The artwork has some flaws (the artist is untrained and this is evident in many of the images) but the images are very charming and enjoyable to colour.

I love pink and fresh green together, so it seemed a perfect colour scheme for this sweet and simple bunny picture from 'Mein Spaziergang durch die Fahreszeiten' by Rita Berman. Her books are great if you want to colour something quick and pretty.  I used watersoluble markers and coloured pencils.

Pretty Pale Watercolours in Painterly Days Flower Book

Trying out some soft pale colours in Painterly Days. I used Inktense and Supracolor Watersoluble pencils. I think this might make a nice cover for one of my home-made sketchbooks.

The Flower Year....Hellibores

I'm colouring all the images in Leila Duly's 'The Flower Year' in realistic colours (in keeping with the realistic and botanically correct style of the illustrations).  Hellibores are quite difficult as they are such muted colours, but I think I managed to achieve a fairly lifelike look. I used Polychromos pencils.

Amsterdam from Fantastic Cities

I used watersoluble markers with coloured pencil on top to colour this page from Steve McDonald's excellent book 'Fantastic Cities'. Very enjoyable to colour.
